In class this week we learned how an old reel-to-reel tape recorder works. We also learned how edit the tape and how to speed it up and slow it down. Then we learned how to hook up the tape recorder to the recording consul to record its speed-up and slow-down effects. I think it’s pretty amazing how music can be recorded by combining old and new recording technology.
